2 Bedroom Cottage in Vasilikiadhes, Kefalonia
New for 2023 we are no longer renting 'Amigdalospito' (Almond House).
Instead we are renting our two cottages, a one bedroom adjoining the main house and our original studio cottage. These will have shared use of the pool and terraces.
Both are furnished with a combination of antique and modern fixtures and fittings and very well equipped to a high standard to provide luxury accommodation for up to 4 people. Set on the hillside in the old village of Vasilikades, near the sea with views to Ithaca and the Lixouri Peninsula. A perfect retreat for a couple or smaller family holiday, in a quiet rural position with all the local amenities.
The Spitaki cottage has one super king size or twin bedroom with air conditioning. A fully fitted kitchen and dining area with dining table and four chairs with inset wall cupboards. There is a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. A shower room with fitted basin unit and bath with shower. The lounge has two modern penang chairs with foot rests, a sofa, coffee table, television, DVD player and bookcases with books, DVDs and games.
There are two outside seating areas for alfresco dining. One smaller front balcony with seating for two people and a rear covered porch area with glass table and comfortable chairs for up to four people
The Kotetsi cottage is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen area, dining table and chairs, small sofa, twin beds or super king (with mattress topper) and shower room. Outside the cottage is a covered porch for al fresco dining with table and chairs. The cottage now has air conditioning. Also a terrace with 2 sun loungers and stone seating area.
Free wireless internet in both cottages.
Within just a 3 or 10 minutes walk are 2 tavernas, both with great home cooking and a takeout service. There is a supermarket, small corner shop and Ektos bar/cafe.
'Amigdalospito' cottages are well situated, within 10 mins drive is the popular and colourful harbour of Fiscardo and 15 mins to the picturesque fishing village of Assos with its imposing Venetian fortress. The famous Myrtos beach is 20 mins drive away and many other beaches can be reached within a 10/15 minute drive.
