5 Bedroom Cottage in Grayling

Located in the heart of Michigan's most fabled trout water, The Busted Grouse includes two unique buildings with room and character to meet everyone's needs. The "Cottage" is a mid-century ranch featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a private sleeping porch overlooking the river. The "Cabin" is a rustic A-frame with two main floor bedrooms, a large sleeping loft and all the classic character you might imagine in a northern Michigan getaway. Both buildings are currently undergoing full renovations in preparation for our first renters in 2021. We're working hard to maintain the classic character of both buildings while adding all the modern upgrades to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all. The property is centered in the famous Au Sable "Holy Water" stretch and is a short walk away from Gate's Au Sable Lodge for excellent dining and a wonderful fly shop for all your gear needs.

Summary: We had a great time! Very nice homes on the river with a fire pit area for night-time! Host was very responsive and even had wood delivered while we were there. River was nice to walk in and cool off and the kids enjoyed playing in ot!
