Positive: We had a very spacious and well-equipped apartment with a balcony overlooking the harbour - a beautiful location close to restaurants, shops and bars. Our hosts were very considerate - they gave us a parking space close to the apartment and moved plant pots on the stairs when they saw my partner had walking difficulties, and provided us with a filter coffee machine (why does everywhere only provide capsule machines - each one different?!). Sivota is a busy little town, very popular with the yachting set, so there is an abundance of rather pricey restaurants and shops, but overall is an enjoyable place to be.

Negative: The driveway to the accommodation is very steep and not easy for anyone with walking difficulties. Prices in Sivota are higher than elsewhere - particularly in the supermarkets (some goods were two-thirds to twice as much) so, if you're self-catering or even buying a few bottles of wine, stock up in Lefkada town.
