Positive: The staff member who checked me in (I'm sorry, I'm unable to remember her name) was courteous and over-the-top helpful. She represented the hostel very well and helped me, a solo traveler in a foreign country, feel very welcome and safe. My lost backpack, which was very important as I planned to begin my pilgrimage on the Camino del Norte the following day, was finally located by the airport shortly after I'd gotten settled at the hostel; when the call arrived, this same staff member communicated with the Lost Luggage person, gave me good advice on how to retrieve my backpack, and was extremely kind to the soggy mess of traveler I'd become when the tears of relief sprang forth. Please give this staff member a raise, as it's truly well-deserved!
